Definitely going stir-crazy here in this lab, but I've now learned a lot about panopticism.

Like, a lot.

    The concept of panopticism is particularly chilling when you consider the effects that constant surveillance (or, more precisely, constant *potential* surveillance) has on people and _then_ realise that the gov (speaking of Aus. here) has gone and implemented mandatory data retention.
